About us

IMG_2978

Back in 2010 when we started our blog, the ‘About Us’ started with:  This blog page will follow the journey of two sisters living yoga on & off the mat. Sharon, the older sister, is a beginner on the yoga path.  Maureen is a yoga teacher/former studio owner, practitioner of over 10 years and leads a teacher training/develop your practice program.

Fast forward four years later —  Sharon is a not-so-much a beginner anymore.  In January 2014, she began Maureen’s Yoga Teacher Training Program in Nashua, NH and the Yoga NH Program has expanded across the state of NH and is now in it’s 9th year. We will continue to blog about yoga and we will also include other aspects of life experiences and self discovery.

We are both entering the second phase of our lives.  Our intention is to apply the wisdom we have gained thus far to maintain balance in body, mind and spirit while encouraging others to do the same.  We want readers to recognize it is never too late to start something new and we want women of all ages to support one another as we encounter challenges in life.  Our blog will include, but not be limited to, material about yoga, balance, strength, wisdom, attitude, peace, vision and core values.  We want to inspire others to include yoga in their daily lives, integrating the benefits of yoga on and off the mat.

We hope our stories provide helpful information and touch you in a way that contributes to thinking in a way that expands beyond your habitual way of being in the world.  We hope you will comment on our blog entries, tell us what you think and we will use that information to improve  blog entries and create future topics for discussion.

Peace,

Sharon and Maureen

  1. Cool! I am seeing this for the first time during my lunch break so I don’t have much time to comment but, I look forward to following this journey both by reading the blog entries and through my personal relationships with my mom, Sharon and aunt, Maureen. I”m sure this will be great. I’ll comment more later.

    Love you both!

    Erica
